We are pleased to inform you that enthused by CII’s aggressive work in the area of industry-academia collaboration, the Union Ministry of Human Resource Development has entrusted to CII the task of increasing these linkages in academic institutes.
After a successful international workshop on April 14-15 on this subject in New Delhi, we have been approached by the ministry to conduct regional workshops on the same subject for engineering institutes which are being funded by the Centre in collaboration with the World Bank under the Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP).
Directors and Senior officials of 21 TEQIP institutes from Northern Region will be participating in this workshop. The list of participating institutes is attached for your reference. You are requested to kindly take out your valuable time for this nation-building exercise and commit to collaborate in some possible manner with one or more institutes identified in the list.
We would encourage you to sign preliminary Expressions of Interest (EOIs) with the institute/s shortlisted by you during the B2B meeting scheduled to take place between 1100 and 1300 Hrs followed by lunch on 27th June 2013 so that subsequent monitoring of the relationship is easier. The ministry will be appointing separate Mentors and Collaborators for every institute to take this agenda forward.
Kindly make it convenient to attend the workshop on June 27th as a mentor to your chosen institute(s) or nominate a senior person from your organization for the same.
