The Federal Investigation Agency informed interior ministry chief Rehman Malik on Wednesday that the Pakistani suspects were arrested on February 12 and could be remanded to the FIA’s custody only for 30 days.
India is also likely to push further with the involvement of state agencies of Pakistan in the terror attacks.
Pakistan, however, does not seem fazed. It is using its 30-day deadline to pressure India for a “timely” response on its dossier and questions. The Pakistan foreign office spokesperson said on Thursday, “We are looking forward to a timely and comprehensive response (to Pakistan’s 30 questions) from India.”
